Airy and light crochet top
During the spring and summer months I love to have flowy, light tops that I can wear with shorts or even jeans. As soon as I felt Lion Brands Coboo yarn I instantly imagined this airy crochet top with some wide sleeves. It gives me those beachy, summery vibes. This has easily become one of my favorite pieces I’ve designed.

Making A Crochet Garment
I don’t know about you but when I started crocheting I used to see people making garments and I thought I could NEVER design something like that. Well, here I am a few years later and making crochet tops is one of my favorite projects. It’s so satisfying to wear something that you made yourself. This pattern is great for beginners because it’s made with just one stitch, double crochet.
the yarn
I used Lion Brand Coboo yarn for this top. This yarn is SO SOFT, its a 50/50 cotton and bamboo fiber blend. This makes it drape perfectly for tops and light enough to make summer garments. I’m hooked and I can’t wait to design more pieces with this yarn. For this top I used the color Tan.
notes
- The Daisy Top is made by crocheting the front and back panels, seaming them together then crocheting each sleeve in the round.

- Flip inside out.

This is so pretty and looks like a good first sweater for me to try. Could you tell me how many yards of yarn I’d need for a size large. I’m not sure how to figure that. Thanks!
ElenaandKamila says
Hi Linda, this is definitely a good first sweater to try! For a large you’re going to need about 9 balls of coboo yarn or about 2,088 yds.

I have a question I have to chain 81 for medium size
Pretty sure it was 81 or 80 dc into the first stitch and chain the remaining 78 so in total I should have 79 stitches is this correct at the end of the row ? I absolutely love this so much
ElenaandKamila says
Hi, yes you would have a total of 79 sts across. Let me know if you have any more questions!
