The Moonrise Crochet Pillow

The Inspiration

If you’ve seen my logo or read my bio you probably know I love the mountains, hiking and the outdoors. I wanted to incorporate some of those things into a modern pillow I could move around and put anywhere in my home. This crochet pillow would look so cute in an outdoor themed nursery or on a cool chair in a living room, and the colors are totally customizable!

notes

• Panels will measure 19”x19” each
• I used an 18″x18″ pillow insert but depending on how firm you’d like your pillow you could also use a 20″x20″ pillow insert
• ch1 at the beginning of each row does not count as a st
• Pattern is worked by making both panels separately then seaming together
• For the color changes, you can either carry the main color behind the color you are using, just be sure to leave some slack in the yarn and not pull too tightly (see below) or include it in your stitch. This will be the inside of your pillow so whichever method you choose will not show.

• 18″x18″ pillow insert
• 9mm crochet hook

Back panel

• Row 1-53:Color A: ch46, sc in 2^nd ch from hook and *sc across, ch1, turn* Repeat for 53 rows.
• At the end of row 53 leave a long tail about 2yds long for seaming

seaming

Place both panels with the front side facing each other, back side of panel facing you and seam 3 sides together, flip inside out, insert pillow and seam the remaining side.
