The Bobble Crochet Coaster

Modern Crochet Coaster

I wanted a modern coaster that would match the Pebble Crochet Blanket. I mentioned in that post how we are slowly decorating our house in a modern/Scandinavian style. The combination of the Pebble Blanket and this Bobble crochet coaster work perfectly together. (Spoiler: stay tuned for a matching pillow pattern!)

The Yarn

For this crochet coaster I used Lion Brand Fishermen’s Wool in Oatmeal. I love the earthy tones of this yarn which work PERFECTLY with that Scandinavian style I was going for. This pattern also works great with any scarp yarn you might need to use up.

-The ch1 throughout this pattern does not count as a st.

7 sts x 6 rows in hdc=2″x2″

4.75″ x 4.75″

• 5.5mm Crochet hook, I use these.
• Lion Brand Fishermen’s Wool in Oatmeal, About 29 yds per coaster
• yarn needle

Abbreviations

• ch: chain
• bo: bobble
• hdc: half double crochet
• st(s): stitch(es)
• *: repeat

Bobble stitch (bo)

Yo, pull up a loop, yo pull through two loops, yo pull up a loop, yo pull through two loops, yo pull up a loop, yo pull through two loops, yo pull up a loop yo pull through two loops. At this point there should be 5 loops on your hook, yo pull through four loops, yo pull through last two loops. Next st will be hdc.

• Row 2 hdc in first st, (bo, hdc)* ending with hdc, ch1, turn
